The Executive Board of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) will hold its 53rd meeting on the 8-10 of December 2014 at the ACBF’s headquarters in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The meeting will start with an induction session for new Board members on the ACBF mandate, organizational architecture, legal and operational frameworks.
From 9th December, the Board will discuss the Foundation’s Business Plan and Budget for 2015, consider new operations, and discuss the Foundation’s resource mobilization. The Board will also review the revisions to the Foundation’s Operations Manual.
As part of the recent reforms conducted by the Foundation, the ACBF Executive Board meets four times a year. Two of the meetings are face to face while two are virtual ones.
The new Board Members are Prof. Callisto Enias Madavo (incoming Chair) from Georgetown University, USA; Prof. Bernadette Dia Kamgnia, African Development Bank; Mrs. Fatima B. Kassam, African Risk Capacity (ARC) and Mr. Godfrey Simbeye from the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation. The other board members are Mrs Charlotte Osei (born Kesson-Smith)(Vice Chair), National Commission for Civic Education, Ghana; Mr. Lebogang Motlana, UNDP Regional Service Centre Africa; Dr. Huguette Labelle, Canada; Dr. Shehu Abubakar Misau, Public Service Institute of Nigeria; Mrs Gun-Britt Andersson, Sweden; Mrs. Soumare Aminata Sidibe, Economist, Economic Services Inspector, Mali; Dr. Mor Seck, CED/Senegal, Boulevard Dial DIOP and Prof. Emmanuel Nnadozie, ACBF’s Executive Secretary.
